I was first diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2010, I was successfully treated with chemotherapy, radiotheraphy, mastectomy and tamoxifen. Then in July 2018 I was diagnosed with a new breast cancer this time my treatment included chemotheraphy, mastectomy, hysterecotomy and herceptin.

In December 2020 my husband Gary was diagnosed with aggressive non hodgkin’s lymphoma which was treated with chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Since 2010 we have raised money for different cancer charities including Macmillan, Marie Curie, St Oswalds Hospice and Cancer Research UK.

Through my husbands business GK Turfing we have also supported Marie Curie Hospice, Daft as a Brush and DIY SOS. This year I am doing the Macmillan 26 mile hike and in October 2024 I am doing a trek in Vietnam for St Oswalds hospice.
